1. Biryani

2. Hyderabad Marag

It is one of the best dishes in Hyderabad. Marag is a starter served instead of other soups. It is prepared in a unique way. Marag is a soup which is prepared from tender mutton with bone. The ingredients used are onions, cashew nuts, curd, coconut powder, boiled milk, cream, ginger-garlic paste, salt, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper powder, green chillies, etc.



3. Dum Pukht

Dum Pukht is a biryani which has slight differences compared to other biryanis. Dum Pukht is a slow cooking in a sealed container in a low flame. It consists of a high amount of ghee. It is cooked with steam. It is served with raita The ingredients required to cook Dum Pukht are onions, garlic paste, ghee, turmeric, salt, tomatoes etc.



4. Paaya

Paaya is nutritious food prepared with roasted spices and goat trotters. This dish is one of the best you find in Hyderabad. The word Paaya is derived from Urdu word which means legs. The legs of sheep and goats are the meat. The dish is served with diced ginger and sliced lemon.



5. Malai Korma

Mali Korma is the favourite dish for many people. In every restaurant, you find Malai Korma. The ingredients used are ginger and garlic, ghee, fried cashews, drain, chopped onion, capsicum, tomatoes, oil, salt, chilies, cream, turmeric, half coriander, cashew nuts. Malai karma is best serves with chapatis, parathas, naans, etc.




6. Qabooli Biryani

This is the vegetarian Hyderabadi Biryani. This is the best dish for the veggies. This dish easily gives a tough competition to its non-vegetarian counterpart. It is made with only one dal. Main ingredients are Bengal gram, turmeric powder, and salt.




7. Boti Kebabs


Boti Kebab is a mutton starter. This Boti kebab is prepared by taking small pieces of meat in a bowl. And heating it, basted with butter and ghee. Cook it on a slow stove for 20 to 30 minutes. Ingredients required for it are garam masala, salt, red chilly paste, ginger-garlic paste.





8. Burani Raita


Burani is the match for all the rice dishes. Any biryani would be incomplete with the Burani raita. It is flavoured with garlic, chilli powder, and roasted cumin powder. Raita is famous in Hyderabad and it is usually served with biryani. The ingredients required are yogurt, garlic cloves, red chilli powder, cumin powder, black or regular salt.




9. Sheer Kurma


This is a special dish of Hyderabad usually made on festivals and occasions. Almond and apricots are used to make this. Milk and dates are used to prepare this Sheer Kurma. Dry fruits are added for crunchiness. You can end the good meal on a sweet note with his Sheer Kurma.





10. Double Ka Meetha

Double Ka Meetha is the native recipe of Hyderabad. It is very easy to prepare this dessert. Kids love this dessert a lot. Bread and sugar are the ingredients used to prepare this dessert. It is a popular dessert in Hyderabad, it requires ghee-fried bread, khoya, milk along with various nuts. Double Ka Meetha is used as a side dish.
