This isn’t a story but a real thing happened in our hostel.

When I was in Hostel studying engineering, there was this guy from a very affluent background. It was like he said, they were around 15 people from his family who were in class A grade like IAS, IFS like that. So he also wanted to become an IAS officer. He was my junior. He was very friendly, talkative kind of and moreover involved in all matters regarding Hostel. I used to call him deal as he used to be the mediator among all. So in his final year, some days after he received the best student award, I got a call saying he is so mentally ill that he went to some random house saying it was his home. The police complaint was lodged against him for creating a nuisance. Police agreed to close it after some of his relatives made calls. I myself went to the hospital to admit him nimhans(national institute of mental health and neuroscience). I still feel bad for my friend who used to involve him, had many dreams, becoming like that. This thing I can’t ever forget in my life as it says life is so uncertain.

Girl Scare at Night with Her Roommate

I remember we were allowed out-campus hostel since the in-campus hostels were full. The college allowed us an out campus hostel in Baramunda, Bhubaneswar. The hostel was very close to the bus stand, expectedly the area had crowds from all sections of society. There was also a boys hostel adjacent to our hostel. Our hostel actually was a four-storeyed building and flats were in 3bhks type. It was summer then, my roommate decided to open the balcony door. The summers are unbearable in Bhubaneswar, we then opened our balcony door, since our room was on the first floor and the balcony faced backyard so it attracted a lot of mosquitoes. The mosquitoes forced us to close the door. Four of us retired to bed, after an hour or so, we heard the main door bang, I thought it might be my roommate's friend, she always had the habit of knocking at wee hours. However, we were too lazy to go and open the main door. Someone from the flat opened the door. We heard a girl scream, we immediately opened our room’s door. She screamed that close all your doors some miscreants have barged into our hostel and be very careful. We were all dead scared. After a while, we found out that a girl had lost her mobile in our flat and her room was adjacent to ours. She was sleeping with the windows open. The news spread like fire. One of my friends was crying in fear. We hold ourselves and instructed the guard to call the police and the administration. The police came and we got to know that the miscreants stole watches, mobile phones and misbehaved with a girl. It seemed their motive was to create a sense of fear among the girls. Police interrogated the guard and went back assuring us that they would look into this matter. The next day, the dean came and promised us to barricade the balcony with grills. We four roommates were still in shock, what would have happened if we would have opened our doors that night since our room’s balcony is easily accessible as in one can get into the room through balcony without much trouble. Thanks to those mosquitoes that forced us to close the door that night.

First Year Hostel Boy Funniest Experience

This one happened during my college days while we were in 1st year of hostel life..It was the first quarter of first year & ragging session was on the go on a day to day basis..Myself and my roommate were called up by our seniors to their house for introduction…We were made to do some activities like dancing & stuff..till late night.It was a rainy day and we could hear the grumbling of the sea (as our college is in a coastal city of udupi) …We were walking back from the house where seniors stayed till our hostel, Roads looked creepy and we could hear dogs barking at us at every small streets we entered. A 2 km walk and finally we reached the vast play ground of our college, In the dim light we could see something moving in front may be 50 mts ahead, slowly moving towards us,Is is a dog? No! Looks bigger..Is it Human? No! Looks shorter and Jet black in color with long ears! Man, we got chills down our spine, we changed directions of walk in, the unknown creature changed too…Once it reached, near, we ran for our life till the hostel and said everyone what happened…Next day morning was the twist, while walking down to the college, we saw a dark colored calf in the playground which had a rope tied around neck and broken! Everyone saw it and looked back at us remembering the scary story we had just explained!!!
